Editorial Reviews

Product Description
Churches are dying in record numbers across America. Much of the Western church has favored human mechanisms and schemes to "fix the problems." Will it simply take the latest trends and more training to breathe life back into these dying churches?

No, the alternative is a Spirit-led leadership directed by the One who knows all the options and the best way to go. Methods change, but the Holy Spirit never does. This book is not just for church leaders, but for every church member who knows that the church is failing and wants God to lead them back to a thriving community.

About the Author
A banker for thirty-five years, Allen H. Quist is now an adjunct instructor at Nultnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland, Oregon, where he completed his own M.A. in Pastoral Studies in 1998. Today, Quist serves as a cofounder and director of Ministry Management Seminars, a non-profit organization dedicated to equipping and coaching chuch leaders on matters of financial management, strategic planning, conflict mediation, leadership refocusing, and church re-birthing.

Dr. Timothy Robnet has been a senior pastor in Southern California for eleven years and has also been on the boards of Fellowship of Christian Atheletes, Youth for Christ, and the Conservative Baptist Association of Southern California. Since 1990, Robnett has served with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association, where he serves as director of LPA's Next Generation Alliance® ministries. From 1996-2004, Robnett also served as Associate Professor of Pastoral Ministry at Multnomah Biblical Seminary.

5.0 out of 5 stars the chruch is a spiritual thing, January 31, 2007
By C. Tobias (Portland, OR USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I have read enough books about the chruch to tell you that they are either 1) organizational 'how to' manuals or 2) personal stories from chruch leaders. This book is neither. This book calls us back to the spiritual roots that make Christ's church unique. Certainly there is some 'how to' in the mix but it is not 'how to get more people' or 'how to create great teams'. Instead it is how to reconnect our communities to Christ in ways that are spiritually alive. We need this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone is a leader in one way or another!, October 24, 2006
By Gary (Pacific Northwest) - See all my reviews
This is a very inspirational book. Christians letting Christ lead! Why didn't I think of that.
Whether you are a church leader or only a Christian you are called to be a leader of one kind or the other. This book helps us realize that God is the true leader and we are his regents. This is a must read for every Christian or even anyone who wants some insight into TRUE Christianity.
