Very cool stamps, not very well made

I am a biology teacher so I thought these would be really cool to stamp assignments. The only complaint I have is that it is almost impossible to get them to stamp without also getting the edges too. I also think I bought the wrong kind of ink, it just beads up on the rubber and doesn't make a clear image. Maybe oil based ink is better.

Beautiful stamps

These stamps are really beautiful. I initially bought it for grading papers, but realized that it is more for crafts. You need a really nice stamp pad or the details won't pick up and it will just like a smudged elk or seashell. I was a bit disappointed that these stamps are not wooden, and are on a foamy material, which cheapens the collection. I wouldn't repurchase these again just because they didn't fit my needs.

Love the nature theme and detail of each stamp...the stag is our favorite and showed up on many gifts this holiday season. :)
We used them on card stock for gift tags as well as on the Wood Gift Tags we purchased at the same time (see tags in my other reviews.) This is an item recommended in the Gift Wrap Supplies section of the emporium, a compilation of our recommendations from the lifestyle blog, linen & lavender.

Disappointed

I was really disappointed in the quality of these stamps. I'm not crazy that they are foam but that is not the problem with these stamps. They are not detailed enough to make a good print. I love what they could be but am really bummed about the quality. I'm going to try and work with them but I would not recommend these stamps.

beautifully detailed stamps, but with a bit of a flaw...

i absolutely love this stamp set! i initially bought it mainly for the snail and the toadstools, however many others are just delightful!

i don't think stamps should require a heightened level of finesse. unfortunately, most of the time i have used these, a couple edges of the stamp have also shown up on whatever surface it was stamped upon. perhaps if they had made the stamp image deeper, this wouldn't have happened.

either way, i would still recommend this stamp set. the images are beautiful (and a wonderful accompaniment to the pictorial webster's dictionary) and i know i will continue to use this over the years.

whimsy and wonder and beautiful illustration!
