This review is from: In Place of Slavery: A Social History of British Indian and Javanese Laborers in Suriname (Hardcover)

This book truly relied to the reader the full magnitude of Suriname's social history in an academic manner. I sincerely recommend this book for Surinamese history as well as Colonial, Immigrant, Dutch, English, and Caribbean histories.
