"Creating a dictionary for an industry as varied as travel and tourism is an ambitious and challenging undertaking. ... Describing this as a 'Dictionary,' though, is somewhat of a misnomer because ... some of the coverage is encyclopedic. In the Preface and Introduction, author Allan Beaver writes that the Dictionary aims to provide tourism specific definitions, as well as information on accessing tourism databases, in support of 'the learning process' for travel and tourism in the United Kingdom. ... The Dictionary certainly seems to cover all of this and more. It is comprehensive in both the breadth and depth of coverage. ...
