About the Author
Cynthia McKinney has a master's degree from the the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, was elected to the Georgia state legislature in 1988, and made history in 1992 when she became the first African American woman to represent Georgia in the United States House of Representatives. She lives in Atlanta.
