Editorial Reviews

Product Description
"Diary of an S&M Romance" is the true story of a young widow reclaiming her life in a red-hot world of kinky sex. She's a feminist doing things that many feminists would consider beastly, and loving every second of it. In "Diary of an S&M Romance", Dollie Llama explores the complex connections between romantic sweetness and furious, nasty sex. Part introspective journey of discovery, part tender love story. Part manifesto of empowerment, part dirty dirty book. She met her owner on Bondage.com, and now they just can't stop touching each other in special places, and in special ways. Their relationship is one of mutual respect, intellectual stimulation, and filthy brutal lovemaking. Dollie is her owner's submissive, yielding to his every wish, no matter how depraved. In the bedroom and out, she exists only to serve him. She's Daddy's dress-up dolly use-me girl. And she loves it. Website: www.smdiary.com "Dollie Llama's angelic memoir sets her oh-so-devilish audience on fire. See you in Hell!" --Charles Gatewood, erotic photojournalist "One of the most insightful forays into the workings of the submissive mind. A must read for anybody even slightly interested in Dominance/submission and BDSM." --BaadMaster (Head writer for Bondage.com, host of the BaadMaster's Dungeon talk show on KSEXradio.com) "This loving and positive portrayal of a submissive, by a submissive, should be read by Dom/mes to give a greater understanding of those they play with...and by submissives to learn that they aren't alone and shouldn't be ashamed of their consensual lifestyle. Kudos to Dollie for such openness and courage." --Mistress Genevieve (Lifestyle/professional Dominatrix, Sex Therapist with The Dr. Susan Block Institute)

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, it's kinky. It's also deeply romantic., September 4, 2006

Diary of an S&M Romance is funny, kinky, sexy and really informative about the BDSM lifestyle. You can agree or disagree with Dollie's choice to be submissive, but trust me, she doesn't care whether you do or don't, and that's the most liberating pose any woman can strike.

Diary didn't just stir my loins, it touched my heart, because it's also a genuninely romantic love story. Not some phony cornball romance, but a this-is-what-can-happen-when-two-people-get-completely-honest-and-real-with-each-other love story. What would happen if your lover knew ALL your proclivities? Would he/she run screaming for the hills? Or are you just too chicken to find out? Dollie and her Master/lover take that chance with each other, and the results are so passionate and yes, romantic (that word again), as to be inspiring even to us vanilla wusses.

5.0 out of 5 stars very romantical, September 14, 2006
I started this book three days ago right after I got it in the mail and would have finished it sooner had I not had to sleep and go to work!
Dollie portrays the submissive with accute accuracy and shows her as a smart, strong woman that can take her strength and give over to her Master. Not many women can do that and alot see it as weak.
I loved this book and am so glad I got the chance to read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two lucky people..., May 28, 2007

...who have somehow found each other. That's what I kept saying to myself as I was reading this truly great book. It's very refreshing to see someone write about such a controversial subject with true enthusiasm and an engaging, entertaining style.

I have read other books on S&M and bondage, "the lifestyle", etc, but what makes this one stand out as truly different is that it's a REAL STORY about two real people falling in love and then continuing to do the work required to maintain the relationship.

I have been in long-term relationships with both men and women (and dabbled in the disciplinary arts a bit myself at various times) and although I don't share the same kinks as these two, I applaud Dollie's obvious love for her man and her fearless telling of their story. The index and community information in the back (and Thorndaddy's advice for the guys) was very cool also - a resource I have not noticed elsewhere.

I can't remember ever coming across a book on S&M that reads with such open honesty (and obvious FUN) before. Dollie L. is a truly gifted writer and I look forward to her next literary work.
