5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a MUST-HAVE!, March 2, 2006
By neil mccallum (bonville, nsw Australia) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: 177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class: The Thought Processes, Habits and Philosophies of the Great Ones (Hardcover)
If you are pursuing a better life at home or in business, this book is absolutely invaluable. I loved it for it's clear and concise message about what the world-class do that differentiates them, and the results they get, from the rest. It is also great to be able to open the book anywhere and get clear and profound methodology into the workings of world-class performers, without having to read the book from the beginning.
And the author is very magnanimous in providing countless referrals to other books, CD's and even movies that help the reader get further understanding and systems on how and why the elite perform better in the world.
An easy read, and very motivational, this book has changed my whole life, and my business.

5.0 out of 5 stars For Greater Fulfillment & Personal Growth!, April 10, 2009
By Peter Arnold (Atlantic Canada) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: 177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class: The Thought Processes, Habits and Philosophies of the Great Ones (Hardcover)
What I love about this book by Steve Siebold is - it's a perfect ROADMAP for "correct thinking" to gain a better life.

It is a "no holes barred" approach to developing a laser focus on the right 'mindset' for success, prosperity and happiness.

Every person who aspires to higher levels of accomplishment, fulfillment and leadership development needs this book as a companion.

TOUGH TIMES - As this is written, we're witnessing a grim (global) economy, and we hear nothing but "negative" on TV, in the newspapers, everywhere. People are worried about the health of their savings / investments / homes / retirements / careers.

In my profession, as a Financial Advisor, Business Consultant and Coach - I see people "hungry" for advice and good information on how to achieve more financial security and success in their lives - how to 'get control' of their finances and their businesses.

They go to seminars - they hire financial and business counselors like me - they buy books / courses / 'how to' programs. They can't seem to find the right 'prescription' for financial wellness, and instead, they struggle with the major challenges, roadblocks and setbacks that life throws at them.

MISSING ELEMENT - Quite frankly, I believe that much of this pain and frustration is caused by that "little voice inside of us" - whispering that we're not worthy, or that we can't find that new job, or that we will never reach success, or that we are failures, etc., etc. - words of lack and scarcity - of low expectations - of discouragement - words that can diminish our self-esteem and keep us from a more abundant life.

And this is exactly where this wonderful book by Siebold comes to the rescue - it provides a 'missing ingredient' in my view => by helping us to develop that "steel mental strength" which will not only help us cope with life's adversities but break through to higher levels of success.

Yes, we need a way to "lift ourselves [and others] out of" the stressful doom-and-gloom scenarios we're enduring because of the economy and because of other challenges - a source that we can tap into for inspiration and encouragement in reaching our full potential.

This exceptional book - in my opinion - helps us go a long way in that direction - towards that worthy goal - by giving us "action steps" so we can implement the secrets given immediately, to get what we want.

A "must read" book - a full 5-STAR rating.

Sincerely,

Peter Arnold, CLU, CFC / Founder

5.0 out of 5 stars A Champion's review of 177 Mental Toughness Secrets, July 15, 2006
This review is from: 177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class: The Thought Processes, Habits and Philosophies of the Great Ones (Hardcover)
This book stokes up the mental powers of individuals who aspire to be champions. In it, there are 177 short powerful lessons of how top people think and discipline themselves to stay focused. You can read them like a book or get inspiration day-by-day. It's a boon to anyone who is in to positive thinking personal development. I highly recommend it.
