2.0 out of 5 stars Unpacked but not Debunked, February 6, 2008
Zimmerman's book certainly is thoughtful but exactly what kind of disassembling he does to Kevin Phillips's arguments in AMERICAN THEOCRACY, is debatable. It doesn't debunk the reality that America lives in a shadow theocracy with GodSpeak everywhere in schools and media, especially with the language of Christianity excluding all other religions, where states like Texas, require a public office holder to be a Christian. A country where the Christian Right says it is under attack by secularists when its media constantly insults atheists, Jews, Muslims, and all other religions with snide remarks that go unchallenged.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ummm...sorry, no thanks., April 1, 2008

In all honesty, I had a very hard time with American Theocracy Unpacked. Much of the text sounds like someone talking because they like the way they sound. Once I saw that Wikipedia was used as a source, the credibility of this book went out the window. While Wiki is a fine site, everything on it can be changed by anyone. So to use it as a source seems very dangerous to me.

If American Theocracy was really good for you, then you may like this. For more information and opinions if nothing else.
