Editorial Reviews

Review

I have subtitled this brochure "Promoting understanding between the three monotheistic faiths: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam." Information reduces fear, and an educated public makes better decisions and has better relations with outsiders. This brochure helps inform the public that the peoples of the Middle East are all related. The holy books of the three religions affirm the lineage and proves that we are all God's creation. Dialogue and communication between the faiths promote peace and harmony. This publication attempts to jump-start such a dialogue. --Author's Review

Product Description

UV coated glossy color brochure in a very attractive format. Two sided, six-fold, with 12 flaps total. Side 1 contains a large Middle East Family Tree in color (33"x8.5") from Creation on to Jesus & Muhammad. Complete with biblical references and annotations, this family tree at a glance simplifies the complex history of Bible lineage and adds the lineage to Muhammad through Ishmael. Side 2 compares and contrasts Christianity with Islam, including the differing beliefs about Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Mary and Jesus and His Deity. Also tackled are topics such as "are Muslims alone in professing?", "why do Muslims kneel and face Mecca when praying", and "are Muslims alone in facing a direction when praying?". All topics are supported by quotes and references from the Bible and the Koran. Quotes from the Koran with chapter references answer two additional topics: "Do Muslims believe in the Bible", and "Does the Koran instruct Muslims to believe in the Bible". The answer may surprise Christians and will certainly surprise many Muslims.

5.0 out of 5 stars Islam The Middle East Family Tree & the Root of the Conflict, April 28, 2009
By Devah Brinker (Bordentown, NJ, USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This brochure is clearly outlined in a most definitive way to create a concise understanding of the three faiths of the Middle East: Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The Middle East Family Tree is clearly diagramed and with bibical reference. This in turn leads to the summary of conclusions that show more similarities than differences of three monotheism faiths.
This pamphlet is a helpful historical resource to supplement bible study.
I highly recommend it for anyone desiring to delineate the precise definitions of the Middle East faiths.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Graphic Display of Why There is So Much Conflict in the Mideast, April 21, 2009
By Danny C. Rich (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a really good synopsis of the source of much of the conflict in the mideast. It is more of a booklet than a book but the quality of the printing and binding are excellent and it will last for years, on the coffee table or in your satchel. Even though it is short, the information density is very high and easily digested. If you have any interest at all at understanding the events that seem to control the lives of so many people in the western world, this is a must-have resource.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool to get out of a state of confusion, January 9, 2009
Often it seems that people get confused about where the roots of Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are the same and where they differ. As a result people feel either ill equipped or frightened to have a healthy dialogue or discussion. This great tool helps to get you out of a state of confusion and bring to a much more place of solid standing. So, whether you know the similarities or differences or would just like to, get a hold of this tool and see the information begins to jump off the page and into your understanding.
