5.0 out of 5 stars Preparing for the future, February 15, 2009
This review is from: Do You Know What You Don't Know? and What it Costs You (Perfect Paperback)
Short and sweet this book demonstrates how ineffective the descision making process can become if you do not seek out the "right" people to ask the "right" questions .
I especially enjoyed the section about the surgery. I am watching companies making massive cuts in some cases some of their most skilled workers, these companies will not be prepared when the economy does begin to turn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Be honest with yourself ... and, others, February 9, 2009
This review is from: Do You Know What You Don't Know? and What it Costs You (Perfect Paperback)
I just finished my first reading of "Do you know what you don't know?". It came in today's mail. I think you picked the ideal format for this topic by keeping it brief and succinct. The case studies were timely and very relevant. I got the "Aha" experience three times while reading the book. I am motivated to take action as a result (two personal items and one business item). If all anyone did was to take the time to pose this question to themselves honestly at each appropriate crossroad and JUST THINK ABOUT IT ... they would probably make progress. Clearly, many unknown unknowns require far more probing and research. Unfortunately, as you point out more than once, ego often gets in the way. Many topics could use this approach to present unique concepts and ideas.
