I love her strategies. Script and triggerscript are useful tools for promoting self-regulation and powerful thinking in children. The Resilience Formula paves the way for raising kids to be effective now and in their adult lives.

This one is not to be missed! As parents and educators, our greatest opportunity lies in teaching our children resilience. The Resilience Formula, A Guide to Proactive Not Reactive Parenting, is a wonderful tool teaching effective thinking and communication skills. This formula provides SIMPLE and PRACTICAL steps to take when faced with challenging and emotionally charged scenarios, as well as minor every day conflicts. Toddlers to teenagers will learn skills via proactive parenting utilizing "The Four S's," "Scaffolding," and "Scripting' that ultimately lead to kids negotiating and resolving their own conflicts. What better gift can we give our children and for that matter, the world! This book is a must read for even the most seasoned parents.

Finally a book that is not only filled with a wealth of useful information, but is user friendly! We busy parents don't always have the luxury of hours to spend sifting through all the information out there and then figuring out how it fits our child/children. The Resilience Formula is written in a way that allows you to begin using its tools and 'scripts' immediately. Less time 'sifting' and more time to spend on your parenting. Just as the cover states...the Resilience Formula teaches you the HOW ! I highly recommend this book to parents of children of all ages. I wish I had this book to read when my child was a toddler and then I could re-read it now that she is a teen!
