5.0 out of 5 stars Recruiters boast about this book!, October 18, 2008
I've recenlty read Angela's book and I am thrilled to know something like this is out there for job seekers. I'm a recruiter with 20 years of experience and have interviewed hundreds of applicants for many fields and industries. The basics that this book hits on are to the point, useful and right on, but you're also given insight into a recruiters' and hiring managers' head. Angela is great at pointing out the obvious but even better at making you think before you leap. A definate, must read for anyone looking or thinking about changing careers.

5.0 out of 5 stars A different look at approaching the job search, November 26, 2008
I think that this book "Get a Job Now" is really great. It offers anyone a different look at approaching the job search. I am a senior in the MS, RN program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Even though I thought that just getting a degree in the field of nursing was an automatic job ticket. However, after some interviews, I wanted to expand my options and needed help with resume writing as well as finding the job that I could consider my dream job. This book offers insight about an insider's perspective of a person who has hired sees things. It talks about selling yourself in a way that I had not considered. I would recommend this to my friends and have indeed passed it on to friends graduating. This book is insightful and offers advice and guidance in landing your ideal job. I enjoyed the author's voice as well as exercises of self exploration. I usually would consider any book talking about getting a job or resume writing a complete bore. However, this book is a page turner and offers much to consider as well as practical examples that allow you to grasp the true value of yourself. I will be graduating soon and will be using the advice and guidance that I have discovered in this book. I will add that this will help anyone from the recent graduate, to the seasoned person who has been in the work force. I at least now have a direction and feel confident about my upcoming job search.

GRD, MS Counseling and soon to be an RN, (employed in my dream job)
