I've been writing a Caribbean marine column for
30+ years now. There were a number of years when
All at Sea was my sole income. I'm grateful for
Caribbean Boating, Marine Scene, Caribbean Herald,
and--most importantly--All at Sea for sticking with
me.
Besides, they give me total freedom to write what
I want, exactly how I want. They've printed,
without batting an eye, articles which would give
any liability lawyer a massive coronary.
This collection is Cap'n Fatty at his most
outrageous. Some people love it and some do not...
but I think everyone gets a chuckle or two.
Frankly, I'm amazed I wasn't arrested and/or sued
at the book signing!
Occasionally, I'm approached by someone with this
book in their grubby little hand, who asks, "Are
you Cap'n Fatty?"
I always backpedal away fast, and say, "If you
think Fatty is funny, I am. If you don't--I'm his
younger brother and couldn't agree with you more!" (added by author)
