hard to understad

Top 10 Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Coast (EYEWITNESS TOP 10 TRAVEL GUIDE)
Probably was my fault in order to save money I bought the cheaper one.The complexity of Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast needs a better explanation.Although is useful for a quick overview it useless to understand all the the cities.. and the street finder is not easy. Everything thing is a short resume and the small type doesn't help.My advice:buy a more complete guide Croatia and specially Dubrovnik.Those cities are far away of being Madrid or Manhattan.
Btw all the Eyewitness guide I bought before were excellent !!

Bad printing

Some of the pages are blurred, making it difficult, if not impossible to read. This is really a problem in the phrase book portion of the book. I went to the DK website to see if they could send me the blurred pages and they don't recongize that the guide exists.

Excellent guide - especially for cruise vacationers

This guide concentrates on Dubrovnik and limited attractions nearby; as such, its perfect for cruisers or for hikers confining their trip to the Croatian coast. The list of "must see" attractions, restaurants (try 'Domino' for dinner!) and hotels is more than adequate if you'll be in the area for a week or less & works especially well for a long day from a cruise. The quality pull-out map is a nice bonus. I had three Dubovnik guidebooks on our trip and this ended up being the only one I used.

Kindle Edition is NOT the same as the Book

The Kindle Edition is neutered from the physical book and is nothing like it. While I recommend the book highly, they strangely did not duplicate it and it is worthless to me. I returned it.

Kindle edition is very poor

I was thrilled to buy this book for an upcoming cruise. I used the daily deal and ordered several without using the "look inside". I've used DK printed books for years. This edition is not the same as the book. There are significantly fewer photographs, maps, figures. I enjoy browsing the photographs to decide where to focus my attentions. You can't do that with this book. I think that it is misleading of the publisher/Amazon to use the same cover on both the print edition and the Kindle edition. I also think that the text description of the Kindle edition should clearly note that the printed book is not the same as this edition. Amazon will refund my money, which I appreciate.

Dubrovnik Made Easy

Just returned from our month long tour. Book was handy to carry and very accurate. Nice to know the hours and days that a destination is open and available to visit before you waste time getting there and find out it's closed. Maps were accurate and easy to follow. Comments were right on target.

Still the best review guides on the market....

The problem with many review guides is that they desperately try to cram too much in. I suppose if I were visiting a country for a year, I would want to see everything. For most people, however, you only have a week to hit the highlights. That is why I appreciate the top-10 books, which succinctly detail the 10-best of each category. We had a great time in Dubrovnik and this book came with us everywhere we went. Highly recommend this one.
