Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Even if you don't always remember them, you have dreams every night. Sometimes the dreams are vivid and easy to recollect. Sometimes all you remember are hazy feelings and colors.

Did you know that virtually everything in your dreams is a symbol? These symbols, bubbling up from your subconscious, have meanings that could be psychological, spiritual, or connected to the waking world.

Wouldn't it be great if you could know the meanings of the symbols in your dreams? What knowledge might you uncover? What truths might you learn? Now you can find the answers to your questions with a complete system of dream interpretation, Dreams: Working Interactive by Stephanie Jean Clement and Terry Rosen.

This system includes two parts. The first is a book that clearly explains the nature of dreams and the different types of dreams you might experience. The reason almost everything in dreams is symbolic is because symbols are the language of the subconscious. This book explains how to interpret those symbols so they make sense. It includes a dream dictionary with in-depth definitions for hundreds of symbols.

But how do you keep track of all the symbols and all of your dreams? Sure, you could write it all down and constantly look backward and forward in a book, but that is time consuming. Included with this complete system is software made to run on Microsoft Windows-based computers. This software will not only allow you to record your dreams (a dream diary), it will also ask questions and make suggestions that will help you to identify and interpret the symbols. The software will also let you add your own interpretations to its large collection of meanings. This way, as you change and evolve, the software will keep up with your needs.

For recording and interpreting your dreams (and the dreams of others), this system is the best method around.

From the Publisher

I have always loved the latest in technology. With inexpensive computers and CD-ROMs, projects which couldn't have been conceived of just a few years ago are made possible. That's why I'm so pleased to present the first complete dream recording and interpreting system, Dreams: Working Interactive.

Chances are you know that your dreams are all symbolic. That's how the subconscious gets its messages to your sleeping mind. This system has two parts that make it the ideal dream interpretation environment.

The first part is the book. Always clear and concise, the words here describe the nature of dreams, the types you might have and the importance of symbols in your dreams. There is also a huge dream symbol dictionary with hundreds of symbols described. And the definitions are not merely one or two words. Each of the symbols is analyzed in depth so you can decide how the information is applicable to you. This means that although the system works for anyone, the more you use it the more it functions just for you!

The second part of the system is the Microsoft Windows compatible software. It makes recording your dreams easy! It also actually helps you (through giving suggestions and asking questions) to interpret your dreams. And because you can add to its already large database of symbol meanings, this software won't become obsolete!

Dreams are an important and vital part of our lives. Yet most of us know so little about them and what they mean. Keeping a dream diary and knowing how to interpret the symbols makes all the difference. Here is your chance to experience the future of dream interpretation with me. If you're ready to uncover you innermost secrets in a safe, easy and practical way, this system is a must!

1.0 out of 5 stars Apparently re-worked for the modern age, November 3, 2007
By L L Rook "L L Rook" (Williamsport, PA United States) - See all my reviews
Many of the "symbolic" references are completely at odds with what you might find in other dream dictionaries, which leads me to believe the authors came up with their own meanings for items based on the psychology and "interpreted examples" that are so heavily used in the beginning chapters.

This book may be of interest to someone looking for science, but for a more comprehensive dictionary of the symbolism behind dreams, you will want to look elsewhere.

2.0 out of 5 stars Book is good but software is lacking, June 26, 2001
By A Customer
I've enjoyed the book very much. However, the software does not include many of the basic database features you should normally expect. For instance, the ability to search on keywords and phrases, there is no spellchecker, and the analysis feature mearly highlights the words that match with your symbols library which I don't consider to be analysis.

For anyone interested in seriously journaling their dreams in software I'd look elsewhere on the Internet.
