Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Are you suffering through your kid's potty training because...

  • Your toddler has peed on your in-laws' carpet again?
  • Your best friend's kid is already trained (even though he's two months younger than yours)?
  • You're not allowed back at the community pool until your wee one is old enough to drive?

If you have children, you're going to have to potty train them. At least there's a glimmer of hope. Amidst all the headaches (and heartaches), Potty Training Sucks is the only book that feels your pain. Veteran potty trainers Joanne Kimes and Kathleen Laccinole cover: Potty training doo-doos and don'ts; Handling accidents: an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of poop; The respective troubles of training boys and girls; and how to maintain your sanity through it all.

With the signature hilarity that has made the Sucks series a hit, Kimes and Laccinole tackle number one, number two, and all the accidents in between on the way to full-time underpants.

About the Author

Joanne Kimes is the coauthor of the bestsellers Pregnancy Sucks and Pregnancy Sucks for Men and has written for a number of children's and comedy television shows. Kathleen Laccinole is a writer and a mom in the process of raising an eight-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son. Currently writing A Dennis the Menace Christmas for Warner Brothers, she lives in Los Angeles.

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining and truthful, January 21, 2008
It's written quite well by a writer that I can totally empathize with. Very honest look at potty training do's, don'ts, and experiences. Very witty and entertaining. Creates a positive attitude towards a very dirty affair. Gave me hope.

3.0 out of 5 stars amusing but no big mystery solved, December 14, 2007
Funny book. Enjoyed the read...however...
No earth shattering revelations given. Basically the gist of the book is, your kid will use the potty when they are ready.
Good Luck to my fellow potty training parents!!
