When writing her stories, Pam focuses on how children embrace life with joy and enthusiasm. Her creative inspiration comes from spending time with her grandchildren and being able to experience their imagination, creativity and zest for life. Pam and her husband Martin have seven adult children and four grandchildren. They live on twelve acres of northern Michigan forest where they enjoy camping, biking and exploring the beauty of nature. During the school year, Pam volunteers her time in a mentoring program at the local elementary school. She mentors fourth- and fifth-grade students in reading, writing and vocabulary.
