5.0 out of 5 stars A great source of practical aviation information, June 29, 2006
A great way of gaining and reviewing aviation knowledge. Up-to-date and easy to follow. Packed with pertinant information with little or no dead wood. Usable for student pilots through ATP's. A very cost effective book.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unreliable, October 28, 2009
By Flying High (Everett, WA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge (Paperback)
Be careful "which" FAA handbook you buy. This one is reprinted by Skyhorse Publishing, who in the past has changed contents, titles, artwork, effective and release dates as they were originally published by the FAA. For example, this book is listed as new for November 2009. This book was originally released by the FAA in 2008 -- the November 2009 date reflects when this company started reprinting it and does not reflect any new or changed information from the original book the FAA Wrote. I rely on ASA for all FAA handbooks to ensure I've got the "real deal."

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Have for Pilot or Pilot-to-Be, January 29, 2007
This is a reference that every pilot, CFI or pilot wannabe should have. It covers the basics of flight in simple to understand language. Keep a copy on your book shelf to loan out to anyone who is interested in learning to fly.
