There's no question . . . Divorce Sucks. And perhaps no one knows that better than author Mary Jo Eustace, whose ex-husband Dean McDermott married Tori Spelling a mere thirty days after their divorce was finalized. One part tell-all and one part guide to get readers on their feet after a bitter breakup, this hilarious addition to the bestselling Sucks series tells everything readers don’t want to know about divorce - from what a phone call with a lawyer will cost; to how to handle your newer, younger replacement; to what Hollywood divorcees are actually thinking when they watch their ex walk the red carpet with a millionairess. Sometimes horrifying, sometimes gratifying, and never merciful, this book will give readers an inside look at one of today’s most public divorces while reminding them - hey, it could always be worse.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Solid Self-Help Book, October 18, 2009
By mychelona (USA) - See all my reviews

What this book is NOT: a tell-all response to Tori Spelling's gossipy take on her relationship with Eustace's ex. If you're looking exclusively for that, you're going to be disappointed. Yes, Eustace does talk about her personal story and Tori and Dean in particular, but those references are but a few pages out of the entire book, and she's fairly classy about the whole thing, especially given the particulars of the situation.

What this book IS: a funny, honest self-help book about living through divorce - focused on women over 35 with kids and a spouse who "traded up". The authors refer to the process as "your divorce cruise", and talk about the pitfalls of dividing up the friends, custody and financial battles, and the importance of standing up for your rights and the rights of your children in an acrimonious divorce battle.

5.0 out of 5 stars What Goes Around..., October 16, 2009
I loved this book. OK, admittedly I've never been a fan of Tori Spelling, but any way you slice it, what she did to this woman and her family was wrong. This woman has a right to speak her mind and tell her side of things. The one I feel sorriest for is Mary Jo's& Dean's son. Spelling acts like he doesn't exist and that is perhaps her worst crime. For any woman who has ever been dumped for another woman, this book will speak to you. I highly recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Class, not trash, October 28, 2009
Instead of a trashy tell-all, the author has written a very good, witty guide to getting through the 'divorce cruise' intact, and starting life on the other side. There are a few snippets about Tori Spelling, but she has definitely taken the high road in this book.
Mary Jo has proven herself a class act.

Would suggest this for anyone going through a divorce.
