About the Author

Professor Fan Rui-qiang serves as chief physician, doctoral supervisor and academic disciplinary leader at the Second Teaching Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He has done thorough research on various skin diseases such as acne, dermatomycosis, STDs, lupus erythematosus and eczema. He was in charge of 23 national or ministry level projects and has won 6 scientific awards. He wrote Selected Practical Empirical Formulae of Dermatology and STD and was editor of several publications on dermatology. He has also written and edited 9 other works and has published over 60 academic articles. Professor Xuan Guo-wei serves as chief physician, and doctoral supervisor of the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. He has also been given the title of "National Famous Physician of Chinese Medicine". As an expert, he has earned national recognition and is assigned as a Master Physician of the National Master and Apprentice Education Program. He has been engaged in clinical practice, teaching, and scientific research for more than 40 years and has developed the special clinical approach for "tonifying the Kidney" effective in treating complicated dermatological diseases.
