I am a longtime fan of Oolong the Rabbit, who was famous all over the Internet some years ago for being photographed with a variety of food and household items on its head. I used to rush to see each new batch of Oolong pictures as they came out, at one point wrote a fan e-mail to Oolong's owner and photographer (and received a nice little reply back) and was very sad when Oolong passed away (also documented with photographs of Oolong's burial).
Like many Oolong fanciers I was eager to see Oolong's photos collected in a book, and this one fits the bill in that regard. Oolong is, as always, very cute and the photos provide many wonderful memories of the variety of objects photographed on this patient bunny's head. However, I have to admit I was not happy with the quality of the photographic reproduction in the book when I received it. The publisher reproduced the photos in a cheap, pixelly way that looks far worse than viewing the photos online. Seriously, it looks like the Oolong photos were enlarged beyond their proper resolution and then printed out from the Web on an average color copier and bound into a book. For the amount this book costs, and the number of fans Oolong has around the world, the photo quality should be a lot better.
I hope this is not the last book we will see on adorable Oolong and his successor rabbit, Yubing. I would love to see a beautiful coffee-table book on them, especially if the price is going to be upwards of 30 dollars.
