I used to work at the minty fresh label and I must say that this band is by far the best band on that label.The songs have Phat hooks they are catchy as hell.If you have not seen this band live you should because they are sweet

I was fortunate enough to see Komeda live in Ann Arbor, Michigan a few years back. What they were doing there, I will never know. But after hearing them, I hunted down this cd. And it is amazing. Nobody else has this sound. These songs are cutting edge in both fun and emotional depth. You can feel everything Lena sings. The tunes are dreamy electronica yum-yum, and I have to admit that I am hooked. This is one of my favourite cds ever.

I bought "What Makes it Go" because I loved "A Simple Formality." At first I wasn't impressed with the other tracks. However, after a few listens I was hooked. With feet firmly planted in the past and a vision firmly set on the future, Komeda has created a true gem.

And Lena has such a beautiful voice!

1998's #2 album, after Boards of Canada's "Music has the Right to Children."
