Biography

Lifehouse is an American rock band formed in 1996 under the original name Blyss.

After one EP as Blyss, Diff's Lucky Day (1999), the band changed to Lifehouse for No Name Face in 2000. The success of the album was due in part to the hit single "Hanging by a Moment" and much of the focus was on the frontman and creative force in the band, Jason Wade.

The follow-up albums were 2002's Stanley ClimbfallRead more in Amazon's Lifehouse Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Lifehouse can do no wrong, December 19, 2002
By "chrisgmiddle" (Lethbridge, Alberta) - See all my reviews
Yes, it's true; Lifehouse really can't anything wrong. This isn't even their best song, but as is characteristic of this bands music, it grows on you. They've never written a bad song and it seems they never will. For a ballanced review a feel I should point out the negatives to this disc, but I'm trying and just can't find any. People really just don't realize how good these guys are. They think that they're a on-hit-wonder. They couldn't be more wrong. The main reason for this misconception ironicaly happens to be their biggest strength. That is that with each listen to any one song, you grow to like it more and more--in contrast to most "radio friendly" songs which have an early kick but quickly grow tiresome. If you want to find out why the music industry's best kept secret has an unheard of five star(out of 5)rating for both it's albums so far(by users of this web site no less), pick up No Name Face and Stanley Climbfall. You won't regret it. Lifehouse is ever positive and uplifting, always original, and best of all, still very young. They can only get better.
