The success of alternative rockers Puddle of Mudd is attributable in part to Fred Durst who, after hearing a demo tape sent to him by Wes Scantlin, helped him to construct a band. Scantlin already had some songs ready to work on, having written them while in an earlier incarnation of the band - they had already released two minor label albums Stuck and Abrasive in 1994 and 1997.

the first time i heard this cd i thought it sounded alot like nirvana but after i heard it more it sounded like pure hard rock

my favourites-control,she hates me,blurry

they have a new album coming out some time in November called 'LIFE ON DISPLAY'
