Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles--as well as the rigors of harsh urban landscapes--the full-sized, shock-resistant Timex T46471 Diver Expedition watch adds a stylish yet rugged complement to your everyday wear. It features Timex's unique underwater Indiglo light activation as well as water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet). It has a large, silver stainless steel watch case topped by a large silver unidirectional bezel with black engraved 10-minute markings and coin-edged detailing. It frames an interior dial with 24-hour markings, a cream dial background, full Arabic numerals, large, luminous hands with seconds hand, and a date display at 3 o'clock. It a screw-in caseback and crown, an 8-year battery life, and a genuine leather strap in brown with white contrast stitching.

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

With the Quick Date function, you can set the date on the watch without turning the crown for every 24-hour period. Just pull the stem halfway out, and turn until desired date is reached.

I bought this watch for my wife, ditched the leather strap, put on a Timex Fast-Wrap velcro strap, and she's worn it every day since. Getting my wife any jewelry, including watches, is a trick. She doesn't like the stuff, and being an active, athletic lady, she is rough on it. She doesn't wear it to work out (when she needs a stop watch), or for formal events, but in her professional environment, it is perfect. It's small enough to look feminine, a little more sophisticated than a digital, but is not glitzy fashion jewelry; it's a working tool. Water resistence matters to her, and she hasn't gone to 100m that it is rated for, but has kept it in water for extended periods with no problems.

Overall; a winner for her, bears up well under rough treatment, and a great value for money. My only criticism is that the bezel has stamped appearence that detracts from the overall appearence. A bezel that at least looked machined would create a much more elegant appearence.

I love this watch. The dials light up, the indiglo is super bright, I never take it off. It has great features (ie military time, date, timer-dial on the face) but it isn't cluttered or hard to read.

Although the Timex watch is great I have trouble with the band. Difficult to push the band through the two loops because of the material. I will not wear it anymore.
