I appreciate the weight of the unit as it doesn't require any heavy hand to get effective material removal. I think it's heavier than most RO sanders of this configuration and this is a bonus for long term use in terms of prolonged sanding time. Perhaps a bit too heavy for madam's tastes? Comes in a plastic case which is a pain to either store with all the other tools you bought that have plastic cases or have to wastefully dispose of. There is no holder on the cord for the allen wrench for changing the pad.
The filter works very well and this is the first of many sanders I have for which I can say that. I also bought the universal hose adapter so I could hook it to my shop-vac. But one also needs a coupler to go from the hose adapter (1.4" to 35mm) to the vac hose. These items are listed on the page describing the sander.
