5.0 out of 5 stars Monopoly-Star Wars Style, April 23, 2005
By Han Solo "Bounty Hunter" (A Galaxy Far Far Away...) - See all my reviews

This review is from: Monopoly Game Star Wars Saga Edition (Toy)
It had been a while since I've taken a look at both Star Wars and Monopoly...Due to the hype for the new movie (EPS 3), I got back into Star Wars...This caused a mass compulsive buying of alot of SW merchandise. One of those items happened to be Star Wars Monopoly.
The paper money is cheap as always...it feels like it'll rip any second...it couldve been a little more durable.
The cities and settlements are sculpted great, and the game board has beautiful art on it.
The game pieces
Darth Vader
Darth Maul
Darth Sidious
Luke Skywalker
Obi-Wan Kenobi
Princess Leia
Yoda
General Grievous
are all extremely well made, bringing characters from all 6 movies.
My only gripe is that they included Grevious over someone like Han Solo or Boba Fett...I don't care for Leia or Yoda much, so I wouldnt have minded those two replaced with some old favorites.
All in all, a great buy and tons of fun to play.

5.0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Monopoly ROCKS!, July 1, 2006

This review is from: Monopoly Game Star Wars Saga Edition (Toy)
This game is a terrific new version of the classic. All the same rules apply of course, but if you choose, the game comes with instructions for a Star Wars twist! I won't tell you what it is, but I will tell you it has something to do with the dice. The game comes with eight character tokens (four are good guys, four are bad guys) and a blue die and a red die. The colors come in handy when playing the star Wars version. You buy and trade for planets. You buy settlements and citys instead of houses and hotels. I think it's great fun! Although I've lost every game to my little brothers! Oh, and for all you big Star wars fans out there, the instructions come with a translation guide for the Star wars galaxy Aurebush language. It helps you to read the words on the "Republic credits". All in all it's a great game, so get out there and play! May the Force be with you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game. Love it love it love it!, July 5, 2005
By Nick ".......................................... (Wisconsin (yeah, it sucks. I WANT FLORIDA!)) - See all my reviews

This review is from: Monopoly Game Star Wars Saga Edition (Toy)
I traded In my Revenge of the Sith PS2 game for this, and I'm not dissapointed at all. I used to play Monopoly Jr. At home all the time. Then I got into advanced Monopoly. That I played all the time. And we played the LONG games. I LOVE Star Wars and I love Monopoly, so this is a cool blend. I'm glad that its not all of the new charecters, but I agree with the other reviews that say that han solo should be above Grevious. I mean COME ON. Still a fun game. The board features the charecters you can play as, and instead of trains you have star destroyers and you can own the death star, so thats cool. instead of hotels you have settlements and cities. You can own Mustafar and Utapa and even some planets that were not in the movie such as Corellia(Han's home planet) and Alderann(well, you see it a little I guess).
You can buy Hoth, too, and Cloud City. Instead of money you have: anyone? anyone? credits, thats right. They feature all of the Imperials from stormtroopers and clones to Darth Vader to the Emperor himself. I plan on taking this game up north with be because it is so much fun. Be warned: it can get boring after a little while, but let it sit for 10-15 minutes, and you'll wanna get back to it. Ages 8 and up(I played with my little brother who is seven. He was pretty good) and 2-8 players.
