Collectables for history enthusiasts!, December 2, 2005

The Forces of Valor series of collectable vehicles, aircraft, and figurines is outstanding. The bodies are die-cast metal, the details are endless, and the care that goes into these products is to the highest degree. While they're included in the toy section, and they are durable, they're more of an item that goes in a display case, or on the desk of a student of history, or your favorite veteran. Every wheel and track turns, doors and hatches open, and turrets rotate. A must for someone who was there, or wishes they had been.

Very good value, Wonderful Paint Job, About the right scale, October 30, 2008

I have collected Minichamps 1/35 military vehicles for a while but thier Abrams is the plain jane desert camo and about a hundred dollars, which you'll never get back out of it like other MC models. I saw this one and it had the great camo I was looking for and it's price was much more reasonable.
There is more plastic than the mostly metal MC tanks, but I've been pleasantly surprised at the finish and amount of metal in this one, most of the hull, the barrel and other components. The tracks roll but are plastic, not a problem since they are realistic dark color unlike the MC metal unrealistic grey.
Also the little attachable components make this more realistic and fun to look at, although the machine guns are not very good quality plastic and fall off if you move it around. The 1/32 scale is not as ideal as the 1/35 MC in terms of size but it's pretty close and won't take up a whole shelf. Some of the side panels even swing away to reveal the tracks for servicing, probably like the real one. There isn't any internals, although the turret hatches open so you can put the figure in if you want. The working suspension is nice as well.
One thing I wish they would do is use a case two piece box like the MC MVs so it would be easier to store it as the toystore style box is a pain to put back together and gives the impression that these are not serious collectors items for adults.
All in all I'd get this, especially at the great price they have it at here, on the other major shopping site you all know this would be [...] dollars more. I'm probably going to get rid of my MC MV's and get this brand from now on since it's such a better value and the paint jobs and finish is much more realistic as well as the larger selection of vehicles, recommended!

Almost like my old tank in 1AD!, October 26, 2008
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars

Great little kit. Looks like a model, but much more sturdy with very solidly built parts and mechanims, and it didn't require any assembly. Tracks roll, suspension works, turret traverses, paint scheem is almost spot on, its a good model to display if you were ever a crewman or just love the tank. There are some weird additions to the blowoff panels that I think somebody thought were just too boring and they needed something added to them(?) but besides that this is a nice little model.
