5.0 out of 5 stars Amusing, August 28, 2005
By John F. Bell (Orlando, FL) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Bikini Calculus might be just enough to lead a student of calculus to one of those "ah-ha" moments where the basic concept of integral or differential calculus makes sense. However, I think that it is even better as a geek fetish film.

As for the complaint from a previous reviewer finding that this is insulting to women in higher mathematics, one could argue just the opposite. Bikini Calculus is more gist for male bashing than anything else - that men can't learn calculus with just one head.

Who is this movie for:
1. High school and college boys having trouble understanding the basic concept of calculus.
2. Geeks who have mastered calculus and find this explanation amusing. There is something sexy about a girl in a bikini trying to say integral calculus with a tongue stud.
3. Anybody who is responsible for developing training materials who wants to see an amusing method of conveying a dry subject. This is how I stumbled across this title. Not that I expect to see the Bikini Calculus concept adopted in today's corporate world.

Go to the website, [...]and download the introduction, or the whole movie for that matter.

Alright, this is a cheesy exploitive little movie. It is filled with bad puns and cheap innuendos - purposefully so. However, I am quite sincere in giving it 5 stars because there is something amusing about the whole thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most entertaining Math Dork Item on Amazon, December 15, 2006
A must see for anyone that Ever took or plans to take calculus. I purchased this more as a joke because I was returning to college after 12 years. I had to relearn calculus. This turned out to be a good resource as well as being entertaining.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great video, April 24, 2008
My only complaint is that they haven't made more videos.

I teach high school math and have only boys in my class. This video allowed me to really get their attention and now they are learning more calculus than ever before.

Great job!
