Product Description

Editorial Review

Those for whom the love affair with such TV classics as The Dukes of Hazzard, Friends, Dallas, The Brady Bunch, The West Wing, and Wonder Woman never ended will be in raptures over this DVD board game. Celebrating half a century of Warner Bros. dramas and sitcoms, Scene It? tests player knowledge with trivia questions about real TV show clips and on-screen challenges. Even players who have not spent the last 50 years glued to the tube will stay in the game, as it also challenges observation skills, memory, and puzzle-solving abilities. There’s a high hilarity factor to Scene It?, as participants recall the most entertaining, goofy, poignant, and downright dopey moments in TV history—right up to the present. And just in case you don’t want to miss your fave primetime show, the Flextime Game Board can be folded for shorter games. The DVD features more than 250 show clips and images, 250 stars, and 1,200 trivia questions. Includes DVD, game board, 4 metal tokens, 160 Trivia Cards in box, 30 Buzz Cards, 4 Reference Cards, 1 six-sided numbered die, 1 eight-sided category die, and instruction sheet. --Emilie Coulter

1.0 out of 5 stars One big limited trivia game to advertise WB shows..., January 1, 2006

First of all, I don't understand why all the other reviews on this page are for other versions of Scene It (Disney, Harry Potter, etc), rather than specifically the WB edition.

I received this edition of the Scene It series as a gift for Christmas, and whipped it out for the first time on New Year's Eve for a group to play. Not 15 minutes into the game, we started to notice a trend---just about EVERY question revolved around the television shows The OC, ER, One Tree Hill, Murphy Brown, and Cold Case. Ocasionally, we'd get a Friends question, Dukes of Hazzard question, or Welcome Back Kotter question, but it got SO repetitive with the first 5 shows that we gave up out of frustration. If you are a fan of ALL television over the years and a trivia buff of ALL television over the years, this game is going to bore you to tears. Not to mention, the DVD part of the game is quite limited, and rather than test your knowledge of the show clips you are watching, it will ask you questions like, "Which character was wearing the striped shirt in the episode you just saw?" or "What was written on the chalkboard behind the main characters in the clip you just saw?" WHAT??? I want to be challenged on my knowledge of TV, not my ability to look at every detail of a scene in case there's a question asked about it.

SO much TV is not here--Charlie's Angels, Brady Bunch, Three's Company, Family Ties, Roseanne, Cheers, Home Improvement, Golden Girls, Love Boat, cable shows like Sopranoes and Sex & The City--the list is nearly infinite of what's MISSING. This is NOT the ultimate TV game.

AWFUL game.
