Adorable, sizing runs small, terrible return process, October 21, 2007
This dress is absolutely adorable!! Too bad the sizes run REALLY small. I ordered a small (4-6), thinking that since my child wears a 4-5T we'd be in luck. Nope, the bodice is a bit snug, and the return process is such that I can't exchange it for a larger size. Costume Supercenter requires that all returns be completed within 10 days of shipping... (their shipping date) which actually meant that I had about TWO actual days of trying on > deciding whether to return > being out of luck.
So, my daughter will be able to wear this dress for Halloween, and then never again because it's too snug. Not the optimal situation for spending $30 on a dress-up costume, but such is the situation.
Although the outfit is very cute, and appears to be well-made, I will not be purchasing online from this vendor ever again. Customer service is important to me, and I will spend my hard-earned cash on vendors who deliver it.

This older version is much better than 2009 costumes, July 10, 2009
As Halloween comes around this year, please don't make the mistake that the quality of this costume is synonmous with it's manufacturer Disguise. Disguise, one of the top costume manufacturers and the exclusive Disney licensee, generally produces 3 levels of costumes: Classic/Standard under $30, Deluxe $30-$49 and Prestige over $45. This costume is a Deluxe. This costume seems to be a much higher quality than usual because of design choices in fabric. (Just because silk or chiffon is more expensive and delicate than polyester, doesn't mean it will wear as well - in both respects of how it fits and how it lasts.) The stretchy bodice of this costumes works beautifully. I will say that it probably works best with a tall, skinny child including up to a 6 year old.
Every year I see the costumes get cheaper and uglier - IMO. This is utterly amazing because 5 years ago, I'd have to repair brand new costumes because the quality was so poor. The Classic (or formally referred to as Standard) costumes are meant to last for Halloween night (according to the Halloween costume industry), not dress-up for a couple months or years. The pricing on the costumes really don't correspond to quality or value. If the fabric they use costs a lot but rips and runs, you are not getting a good value. If the classic is about as hard to sew as a pillow case, labor costs are nothing. If the costume has a zipper and frills, labor is more. But I look at Disguise's 2009 Disney Princesses (wholesaler, you cannot buy direct from them) and see some elaborate classic costumes and some Deluxe costumes that look like they were last year's Standard. It leads me to think that they bought too many last year and just repackaged them at higher prices this year.
I did not rank this 5 stars because although it is the best quality Disguise has produced for a reasonable price, Disguise's value will never be 5 stars compared to other companies. If you are able to get this one because it is an overstock from a retailer, it is a great buy. My original retail price for this one (I'm sold out) was $34.95. Compare that to the price I would have to charge retail for 2009 of $45-49 for a costume that looks more like a nightgown. I can't even compete with the bigger outfits on price this year and some of the costumes are so hideous that I don't want them stuck in my inventory.

Halloween made easy, January 9, 2007
I ordered this costume for my 5 1/2 year old at Halloween. I usually would not spend this kind of money on a costume but she saw it online and really wanted it. So, I figured, what the heck? Just once... Well, I had such a great experience that I probably will order from Amazon every year. The costume came very quickly and the quality was great. She wears it all the time for dress up!
