I liked it so much I bought a second one!, June 13, 2006

This is a great little wireless USB mouse. Although it's featured as a mini, I have one each for my laptop AND desktop systems - one PC and one Mac - and it works great with both. Nice response, no delay, and the battery lasts for several months. I'm a huge fan of the scroll wheel; I really miss it when I have to use a non-scroll mouse. I highly recommend this one if you're looking for performance at a value price.

A great price for a really good mouse, September 15, 2006

I purchased this mouse to bypass the "Scratch Pad" on my Toshiba laptop. Those pads ar ok if you don't have a mouse but leave a lot to be desired. The only problem I had was getting the thing out of the packaging. The plastic packaging requires either a stiff drink or a lot of strength and patients to get into. When you install a battery in the mouse and plug the USB transmitter in a USB port the mouse will be available for use almost immediately. However, to be able to use the mouse fully, you must download a large file from the Logitech website and install their software to get the mouse to perform correctly. This is pretty much a must do! Once the software has been installed the mouse will do a great job. I am thinking about buying a second one for my desktop PC. I have owned several Logitech products and have found them to be dependable and long lasting. This one is a very good buy. The only minor issue for this mouse that may or may not be a problem for you is the mouse's range. It needs to be very close to the transmitter. My laptop has USB ports on both sides and in the back. I have found that the best place to have the transmitter located is on the same side of the laptop that the mouse is to be used on. The second best place is with the transmitter located on the rear of the laptop and the worst place is on the opposite side from where the mouse will be used. With the transmitter on the opposite side, the mouse is not dependable on MY machine. Before you purchase a cordless mouse consider where your USB ports are located relative to where you will be operating the mouse. There range is fairly limited. If this is not a problem with your PC, this mouse is an excellent performer once the software has been downloaded and installed. The software is free and the website is user friendly. One other item about this mouse. When you install this mouse it does not stop you from using the "Scratch Pad" Both will work at the same time. The software gives you options on using one or both. I selected both and they both work well and at the same time.

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Logitech Cordless Mini Optical Mouse (931396-0403) (Electronics)
I have recently received a Toshiba Satellite P105-S9722 gaming laptop, and so a mouse was really a necessity. I really wanted a portable wireless design in order to be able to bring it in my laptop carrier. At first, I received a VX Revolution logitech wireless laser mouse for laptops for Christmas along with my laptop, and I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, until my father dropped it on concrete coming out of my grandmother's house that same day. It was sparatic after that, the cursor jumping around my laptop screen. I immediately thought that I would return it, but at the store I realized that if it could not survive the 4-5 feet drop out of my dad's hands, that it was not worth my shiny new $80.00 staples gift card all over again. I saw this on sale, looked it up on amazon, and saw that the rating was even higher than the VX! I brought it home that weekend, and tested it for a couple weeks, and played many games with it by now. I find it's performance **almost** as good as the laser, with very little difference in performance, thanks to the updated version with High-Definition optical. I also in comparison, enjoy the ratcheting scroll wheel instead of the free-spinning variation on the VX. The only gripe that I have with this mouse is that the ergonomics are less than perfect, even with my small hands. This is a minor problem now though, but I expect it to become a larger concern as I grow more. Speaking of growing, I expect this mouse to last me well into adulthood, as it has a solid feel even with only one battery. I have already have dropped it once (on hardwood) with no ill effect, and nothing seems to be wrong. By far, the best feature of this mouse is the price. On sale for $20.00, I now have $60.00 jingling in my pocket, along with a good, reliable, compact, wireless mouse.
