This is a good blind for hunting if you can't hunt in a tree stand or need to be closer to the ground in order to get a shot. It sets up easy and fast and blends in pretty well. Take-down can be a litle confusing and it usually takes me a couple of tries to get it to pack down correctly to fit in the backpack. The backpack is a good feature and makes it really easy to carry. One thing I did not like is the "shoot through" mesh. This is misleading because on the inside of the blind it clearly states that you should not shoot a firearm or mechanical broadhead through the mesh, so basically you can use a broadhead arrow. I don't use this blind for bow hunting, so that was a big disappointment. The mesh does work really well for concealment though and I am thinking about ordering the optional Total Scent Control for this blind. Amazon had the best price with shipping.

the "doghouse" blind by Ameristep, has plenty of room inside for the gun hunter, whether it be deer, turkey or whatever. Great for one, alittle bit tight for two adults, but doable. Opens very easily, however closing it to fit in the backpac it comes with is a bit difficult until you get the knack of it. The price through Amazon was the best part and with free shipping. It's definately worth checking out if in the market for a well made and functionable blind that should give several years of service if taken care of.

Ameristep 814 Tangle Camo Doghouse BlindI have three of these and set them up every deer season. They are excellent, easy to set up and take down.I like the tie downs on the windows so that on windy days you do not have to contend with the flaping of the windows.Whats most important is they do the job. I am 75 years old and about 5 years ago decided I had to give up the tree stand and went to this blind. I have been successful each year in getting at least one deer out of them. This past year I Bagged a nice 8 point buck. Can I say anything more.This product is quality and value.
