Product Description

Product Description

The Trake is two sturdy tools in one. The measured trowel is pointed for easy digging. The rake is narrow enough to cultivate between crowded plants. It is made of lightweight solid cast aluminum with a comfortable vinyl coating that allows a good grip on the handle. The generous length of the tool reduces wrist strain regardless of end used.

1.0 out of 5 stars Trake Trap, June 28, 2009
If you get by all the ostentatious reviews, you can see that this Trake is designed badly. First of all, you can't hold it for long periods of time without cramping your pretorix finger. Secondly, you can stab (with the rake end) your knee/thigh area while working in the garden with the shovel end.

My Trake developed a worn crease in 6 months time, which eventually snapped the Trake in half. It's cheaply made in China so the weldings are not that good.

In all, you're better off just getting good solid garden trowel sets or using a hardened/sharpened set of old animal bones to do the digging/raking.

This is the best tool! I received it as a birthday gift, now I'm going to order 10 to give for presents. The length, balance, and leverage on this are perfect. That's not all - makes a great back scratcher too. This is the best garden tool I've ever used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, a trowel that doesn't bend!, July 15, 2007
This is the best garden tool you will ever own. I purchased my first one at Kohler Garden Center in Kohler, Wisconsin several years back and then they stopped carrying them. It took me a while to track down again, but am very glad that I was able to find on Amazon. Once you own one, you will want to give one to all of your gardening friends -- they will love you for it. I have given a couple as gifts and they always receive rave reviews. A great price too!
