Diwali Barbie a teen review, July 20, 2006
I really wanted to get the DOTW Princess of India, but was unable to find her so when I saw Diwali Barbie I knew I had to get her.
I love the dolls of the World Collection, I also like watching Indian Movies (Bollywood), personally she looks like those typical Indian Actresses on Indian movies, another reason why I bought her, this doll definitely looks like Bollywood Actress Ashwarya Rai, Anyways back to the review, she has beautiful light greyish side glancing eyes , she has very cute jewellery on her and her sari is just so cute, the designer of this doll really did a good job on her. My only con is that she doesn't look like the doll on the picture on the card, she is beautiful anyway, she comes complete with stand, collector card and Certificate of Authenticity.

A stunning Barbie I yearn for!, August 12, 2006
My aunt got this today when her, my mom and I went to the Zellers. She was 25 bucks and to me, worth every penny. She is absolutely gorgeous, a LOT prettier in person, with mauve-ish, purpley eyeshadow and lots of eye makeup, and her lips look like they have pale plum lip gloss on them. Her hair is as soft and lightweight as ostrich feathers, with a slightly greyish cast so her hair is not completely black. The outfit is amazing, very soft, yet a little crispy, and she has a cut of fabric under the skirt that you put her leg through to make "panties". The shirt is really beautiful, and has a gold pattern on it like the skirt. There is a piece of shawl material tucked into the collar so it looks like a shirt. Her chest is not as big as a regular Barbie's, it looks very natural when tucked under the shirt. She has a hot pink shawl as well, attached to her shoulder (but it can be cut very easily). She has a ton of arm bracelets and an anklet, at least 9 or 10 pieces of jewelery in total! She also has dangly earrings and a lovely faux gold necklace with a sun charm. She also has bindi in her hair. She is a beautiful, absolutely amazing and very authentic-looking Barbie, with a stand, certificate of authenticity and a collector card (?). I want her so bad but my mom won't let me get any more dolls 'til my birthday. If you like Barbies or know someone who does, I would recommend this. For ages 3-103.

Beautiful,Beautiful doll, wrong info, December 24, 2006
A Kid's Review
You see, I am from India and the doll is NOT wearing a sari. A sari is a long piece of fabric wrapped around a girl, and then the girls wear a skirt under the sari. She is wearing a "Lunga" A 2 piece dress. And they called the ornament on her head a bindi. It is NOT a bindi. Bindis are decorated and have adhesive on the back. Basically pretty stickers.
However, the doll is extremly beautiful, and she is a great collectible for myself. I sometimes play with her.
Please try to understand. I am not trying to go Against Mattel (the company) at all. They just should have done a little more research.
