This is great for a SMALL lamp for a small area light the bed side, but don't expect to light up a room for you! Don't try to do any reading with this light either. Great for entering a room and you don't want to trip over anything. Great for saving energy, but not so great for reading with. I give it 3 stars because of the energy savings and the fact that it's still useful to me to prevent myself from tripping over any of my sleeping dogs...

Not really what I expected. This bulb does not compare to an incandescent, halogen, or fluorescent light bulb. I would recommend it as an extra bright night light - that's the only use I could come up with after trying it out. It's not bright enough to be used for ambient light.

These lights throw a nice light and I heartily recommend LEDs for almost every lighting need. These units, however, are inexpensive for a reason-they are cheap! I got 3 units from Geeks and all three failed in under 20 hours. I don't hold the quality of the product against Geeks-it is for Customer Service failings that I will not do business with Geeks again.

For the same wattage you can replace 1 13 watt Compact Fluoresnt with 10 of these led light bulb... Read more
