Not doing anything for lines, May 29, 2007
I started to have lines under my eyes two years ago when I turned 26. It was about 0.5 inch long under each eye. I was totally freaked out and wanted to do something about it. I went to the department store and Clinique's sale representative recommended me this product as the best for lines. I didn't have any dark circles or anything else at that time. Anyway, I did use this day and night first and didn't see any results at all. My lines were still as deep as the first day. The cream was actually greasy and didn't blend well with my makeup.
Overall, I saw no result after the first jar. But I still bought the second jar and gave it another try. This time, I even used it three times a day. Anyway, after 2 jars and no result, I had to call it a quit.
Since then, I've tried other expensive products. So far I have tried Strivectin, Kinerase, and Creme de La Mer, which also didn't work for lines. I have tried using Estee Lauder Perfectionist and Advanced night repair and they both seem to improve the lines pretty well. I'm gonna continue to use Estee's products. I don't seem to find anything better.

Prevention of lines, September 6, 2007
My understanding is that tanning and burning are caused by UVB rays. Skin aging and wrinkles are caused by UVA rays. This eye cream has both UVB and UVA protection, SPF 15. As an eye cream, it is thicker than usual creams. Every morning for the last 10 years, I have applied it on my brow bone and under my eye (not right on eyelid as it may get into eyes). I do not have any wrinkles in my eye area. The sunscreen component will prevent future skin damage to the eye area. For existing damage to the eye area, well, I don't know if anything non-surgical can help that. I wear SPF 25 on the rest of my face every morning (Superdefence from Clinique), but use this eye cream in my eye area (as regular creams get into my eyes and that hurts). I would highly recommend using this as a day cream for the eye area as it is thick enough not to get into your eyes and also prevents the eye area from future sun damage.

Does not do what it claims it does..., September 12, 2009
For many years I used the Clinique line almost exclusively when it came to face care. And so, when I realized that the skin under my eyes was becoming very dry and lines were making themselves at home, I visited the Clinique counter once again. I walked away with Advanced Stop Signs Eye Preventive Cream. I realize that our individual experiences with consmetics vary depending on our personal body chemistry. However, based on my reaction to the product, I cannot recommend it.
CONS:
- after months of use, the cream did nothing for my driness and/or lines;
- the cream reacted poorly with my foundation and concealer, making both products cling onto lines and actentuate them...
- the cream would cause an allergic reaction (itchy and swallen lids);
- the brightening of the dark circles was caused by the tint in the cream; if you use too much cream, you look like a racoon; the cream does not actually make your skin brighter; it just makes it "look" that way; isn't that what a concealer is for?
PROS:
None really that I could see.
There is better product out there. Try the Olay Regenerist Eye Serum. So far, that is the best moderately priced eye cream I have been able to find. Does a good job plumping out those pesky lines... My search for that "perfect" eye cream continues...;o)
