The piano never gets out of tune and the tone never changes. The Learning System, with its play-by-color assortment of songs, is designed to bring immediate success. A removable color-coordinated strip fits behind the keys to guide small fingers from chord to chord. As your child learns and grows, the color strip can be transferred to a larger piano, since the keys on Schoenhut Toy Pianos are of corresponding width. This teaches children proper "finger stretch" from the very beginning. The accompanying Songbook contains a collection of familiar tunes. We gave this adorable pink piano to our daughter for her first birthday and she has loved it everyday since. We purchased it from a different website, and it took 3 months to get here and there was a large scratch on the front. Other than that, it is a great heirloom toy that we all really enjoy.

I bought this for Christmas for my 2-year-old, and we both like it a bunch. It has a sweet sound, like chimes instead of like a real piano, but much better than the other options I've heard for toy pianos (which usually just sound cheap). My only complaint is that the little sheet music stand doesn't stay in place-- the groove for it is too shallow, so it just pops right out all the time. Aside from that, it seems to be well made, looks just like the photo, and wasn't hard to assemble.

We bought this for my daughter who just turned 4 at Christmas, the piano is extremely little for her. Another year it really will be to small. Though I didn't expect it to sound great (or like our real piano). I was somewhat dissappointed in the sound, not really sure I would purchase again. However, it is extremely cute but if you just want something to bang on and play around than this is what you want, otherwise skip.
