This is the third instance of this watch that I have owned. The demise of the previous two instances had nothing to do with the quality of the watch. It is very sturdy. The instance I am about to retire saw me through a year in Afghanistan and is still going despite being beat to heck. I like the multiple alarms. They are actually loud enough to wake me from a sound sleep, something I wouldn't trust other watches to do. No problems swimming regularly with it. The lap feature saves my workouts and the Repeat and End feature of the timer is great for timed set workouts. Plus as the years go by the bigger number are nice.

The only things I would mention on the downside are that the velcro band can begin to stink after several workouts. That's when I know it's time to hit the pool again though. A couple of laps in chlorinated water and it's good as new. I like the fit so I keep getting this type of band. The silver color on the plastic around the crystal will wear off after a while. It's kind of gray underneath so it doesn't look bad. The final thing is common to any water-resistant watch and that's if you don't get that rubber gasket back in the right spot after changing the battery, kiss it good bye (instance 1).

Great watch that I have been really satisfied with.

I had a cheapo digital watch and although it always worked well, my eyes are getting worse with age, so I was having trouble reading the time, especially in lower light conditions. When I started shopping for watches, I was looking for something that had large digits and also that I could use as a stopwatch for my workouts. I figured if it was easy to read the time on a page full of watch pictures, that would be the one and this one caught my eye immediately. This is a very nice watch. The band is very comfortable and the digits are easy to read. It was also easy to figure out how to set the time even without the directions, which I read later. The only drawback seems to be the little bump of vinyl at the end of the strap where it goes thru the clasp. It's pretty tight getting it thru there, so it makes it a little more difficult to put it on in a hurry. That may where in with time. It may also be a safety catch should you accidentally pull open the velcro strap so you don't lose the watch. I don't think you'll be able to replace the band, also. It seems to be sewn into the watch body. I like the Flix feature. You have to activate it each day (for night time use) as it will turn off after 8 hours so you're not turning it on during the day I guess and wasting your battery. Just a quick flick of the wrist will illuminate the watch. It's hard to read, though, unless it's dark out or there isn't enough contrast. Looks like a great watch all in all.
