Interesting product. Good idea. But for some strange reason these ice cubes melt quicker than ice cubes made in the "regular" ice cube trays. The "jewel" shape doesn't last very long either even with a beverage that's already chilled. Got a cheaper "shaped" ice cube tray at Ikea.

I bought 4 of these trays and stuck them in the dishwasher to clean them before use. Any of my other food grade silicon I can stick in the dishwasher just fine. Well, these warped and won't even sit flat on the counter anymore. No where on the Fred & friends website, the package or the tray does it state it is not dishwasher safe.

It's not really easy to get the cubes out in one piece, they do tend to crack, but it's nothing to sweat over. they seem well made.
