The secret to long lasting comfort and support is in combining High Density Foam with Densified Polyester.  The HD Foam significantly out performs low density foam and provides the needed support and firmness while the Densified Polyester gives that soft, cushy feel that you expect, a bit like a pillow top mattress.  In essence, that is what it is! These futons are lightweight and easy to handle; this is helpful when converting your frame, changing a cover, or moving from one place to another. Among the 3 futons made with these innovative materials (Rest Easy, Dream Easy and Visco Dream), the Dream Easy caters to those who like a plushy feel with a higher degree of firmness. I got this product within 10 days of placing the order. It came UPS Ground in a box I was able to pick up and put in my car. When I got it home (it was delivered to my work address) it was beautiful--and incredibly comfy. It puffed up to full size within a few hours, and I slept on it the very first night. Now I am sleeping better than I have in the past six months. The cat has claimed it as hers, and we all know about cats and comfort! Well worth the price, it has been exactly as advertised.

This futon is very comfortable and arrived in great shape. It was rolled up tightly but assumed a good shape immediately. I have found it very nice to sleep on -- I put an additional very thin layer of memory foam on top of mine just because I had it, but it does not need it for comfort. I would not describe this futon as a "hard" kind of firm. It is firm but plushy as described. If you want something like a board go elsewhere. I love this bed, and I sleep on it on top of a wooden floor-like bamboo mat. Very happy with my purchase.

1. This futon is 9". I believe the thicker a futon is, generally speaking it is more comfortable. 9" is the thickest I have seen for a futon.
2. As other reviewers have noted, this futon is very comfortable, not too firm and not too soft. Just right for Goldilocks or for the Princess & The Pea! Just right for me, as I am very picky. (comes with being a Virgo). ;)
3. I would buy another one of these if I could afford it. I believe that you get what you pay for, and in this case, it is well worth paying $300 (approx.) for this item. (I bought the full size +shipping cost).
