In came in a small box but after opening the box the mattress get bigger and thicker. it is now about 8" thick and nicely fits our futon frame. It is much lighter than the previous one but very comfortable for sitting and sleeping. I would highly recommand it.

I purchased this to replace a double inflated bed. The change was worth it. Futons provide firm reliable comfort and I get an excellent night's sleep. Recommended.
