I have had Clarion car audio in the past, but have never owned or seen the Clarion overhead DVD players/monitor.

In the beginning I researched overhead DVD players/monitors ranging from, Jenson, Audiovox, Insignia, and Clarion. The Jenson, Audiovox, and Insignia all looked and felt very cheap. I had also read reviews that many of the Audiovox players would break or just stop working after a few weeks. The picture quality of Jenson, Audiovox, Insignia just did not compare to the Clarion. Due to this and the reviews I have seen on the other 3 players led to my decision to purchase the Clarion.

I picked up my Clarion OHM875VD for $499 @ Frys electronics. The installers did an excellant job installing the DVD player into my Crew Cab Silverado. I do recommend purchasing the additional hardwired FM Modulator. This will allow the DVD players sound to be directly heard through your car/truck radio speakers and is close to CD sound quality. Much better than using a cheap wireless FM modulator. Overall with installation, the FM modulator, and DVD player ended up costing me around $570.
