I wound up buying 12 of these for a project and considering how much you have to pay for these the plastic they use is *inexcusably* cheap. You have to REALLY *baby* these things ever-so-gently in the wall with your cables or the chintzy plastic threads holding the HDMI jacks in will break.

Of the 12 I bought--2 arrived in the mail snapped already. I broke a third one on my own trying to push it back into the wall. It's really a 50/50 shot you'll get these things in one piece as cheap as they are.

I requested replacements for the ones I received broken and of those one of the replacements were already broken.

Needing to proceed with my project--and started glue-ing the back of these together with hot glue when they would break. That seemed to make these strong enough to be used--but for what these cost there's no excuse to this construction.

It seems ALL wall plates for HDMI jacks are poorly made though so I don't know of an alternate product to suggest.
