5.0 out of 5 stars Ms Jade is so ill!, July 23, 2005
By Jarrett Grogan (Sugar Land, Texas United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Girl Interrupted (Audio CD)
This album is crazy sick! When I first heard "Feel The Girl" I wuz like damn this gurl got some skillz. So I gave it a shot n decided 2 cop it just cuz Im down w/ the Timbaland crew. I aint dissapointed either. About 90% of this album is perfection. Ms Jade kno how 2 fit n bring out the best in Tim's beatz. There only like 2 bad songs and they at the very end (not produced by Timbo). But if u like hot beatz n sick lyrics then cop it quick.

4.0 out of 5 stars She's A Gangsta....Not A Pranksta..., December 9, 2002
This review is from: Girl Interrupted (Audio CD)
Ms. Jade's debut album from Timbaland's label Beat Club is something to be heard. Can she rap? You bet she can. Forget Ching Ching. Forget Big Head. Those are pure radio songs and really they don't capture her lyrical prowess that is seen on the rest of the album. As a matter of fact those songs, although catchy, make Jade seem pretty wack. But trust me the skill is pretty high. With a definitive commanding voice, she grabs you on each track. Jade truly is a champ. And on top of that she has one of the best producers in the game, Timbaland, backing her album.

Ms. Jade hits the listener with non-stop assaults of lyrical braggadocio and the usual topics. These days it is all about execution, how you present your lyrics. Get Away is the perfect blend of lyricism, a superior flow with crossover appeal. But don't go thinking Jade is a radio head. Jade is a gangsta as witnessed on `She's A Gangsta" where she turns in her most menacing performance of the album. This song will have you believing that Jade will soon be a legend in the rap game. Ching Ching Part 2 has this girl straight up KILLING this track. Her flow is just perfect on the song. Perfect. No joke. Step Up is another lyrical assault from Ms. Jade.

As a matter of fact on the majority of the album Jade is doing the impossible and outshining the beats! Yes Timbaland's beats nearly take a backseat on the entire album. Her style and voice are a mixture between Eve and Foxy Brown and her lyrics are some of the best that any female in the game has to offer. So without further delay, please go buy this album; it is a good start for a runner that will be near the top at the end of the race.
