This adapter serves the purpose and allows use of Pentax, etc screw type lenses to be used on my Nikon D80. This is very very good. The particular adapter I received is extremely tight fitting and requires a tool (pen point, etc) to lock adapter into place and to remove. That is not so good but the adapter is worth the effort.

The m42 adapter fits my d100 and I know have use for my old Vivitar lenses. The only thing to remember is that some lenses only work on full manual. Other than that works great.
