BOB combines their lightweight sport utility stroller with an Ironman pedigree. The BOB Ironman stroller is perfect for the parent that is serious about fitness and safety. The stiffer three-inch suspension utilizes shock absorbers (coil springs with an elastomer core) to provide a gentle ride and high performance and has two positions to accommodate bigger and smaller children. The fixed front wheel and 16-inch road slicks have a low profile and high pressure to make it ideal for city and suburban jogging. The one-hand, adjustable tracking knob makes steering a breeze and keeps the stroller centered.
BOB’s lightest stroller at 22 pounds, the frame is made of aircraft-grade aluminum alloy that is lightweight and high strength. The padded, stain-resistant seat is soft and cushy, reclines up to 70 degrees from vertical, and has the standard five-point harness to provide maximum stability and comfort. The full sun canopy provides ample shade and protection from the elements for your little passenger, and a front wheel fender shields spray and protects their toes. The canopy window allows you to keep an eye on baby as well. The wheel rims are aluminum alloy with stainless steel spokes, and the hubs feature a quick-release aluminum axle and sealed cartridge bearings. The caliper handbrake slows the stroller with ease, while the foot-activated "parking brake" is simple and handy. Storage is not a problem with twin interior seat pockets, a large below-seat storage basket, and a deep seatback pocket. The two-step fold can be done in one motion, and the lightweight frame makes it portable and stowable. Removing the wheels decreases the height and length significantly for storing in tight spaces. The handlebar height is 41 inches, and the wheel base is 29 inches.
They say it meets the "stringent requirements" of the Ironman Triathalon, and there is no doubt about that.
