Was hoping it was more of a Microphone that amplified their voice of Whatever they sang, not just the same 2 songs over and over. Wouldn't have worked to keep the 12 year old entertained. Had purchased the dance mat with this and was really excited to give until I realized only 2 songs. The description could have been more clear.

I usually avoid trendy toys: High School Musical, Hannah Montana, etc., but Santa brought my little girl this microphone because she wanted it so badly. It plays two songs from High School Musical, but my favorite thing about it is how well it works as a microphone. It is perfect for pretending they're a rockstar...and a number of other things, like say, the president of the United States. My only complaint is that it squeaks if your mouth gets too close to the microphone. I haven't had to replace the batteries yet. We liked it so much we had to buy a second one for my other daughter.

I order 3 of thes mircophones, 1 for my niece and the other 2 for my granddaughters.. It's great, they go into the room and sing and sing (lol)
