This item isn't bad for the $$. Unfortunatly it is rather cheaply made. The part where the whip attaches to the handle is rather weak. I had to renforce mine with duct tape because it started to break. It does produce a nice crack if you can do it right. I have yet to master the technique yet though. If you have the money I'd go for a more expensive(better quality) one. However if your a cheap SOB like me and don't mind a little duct tape repair than this is a decent item.

This whip is basically a nice toy. It is not a real bullwhip. Yes, it can be snapped. However, that does not make it real.
