NOW Whey Protein Isolate is a high quality protein supplement that is both bioavailable and easily digested. Whey protein contains a high concentration of Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs_, which are important for efficient muscle metabolism. These qualities make NOW Whey Protein Isolate an ideal supplement for active individuals.
I use this protein as a part of a strict weight lifting regimen but it is great for any user. This is a true whey isolate, the main benifits are that it is has a higher bioavailability and very low in cholesterol. Whey comes from dairy which is "bad" cholesterol. Most proteins are blends and contain a very high amount of cholesterol, and if you are like me and use multiple servings per day, that is certainly something to keep in mind. You wont find an isolate any cheaper than this. Period! Beware! Many proteins say isolate but they are actually blends...look at the cholesterol on the back and make sure there is no concentrate in it! It has no artificial sweeteners, hence it is probably the most healthy of many proteins. The only thing to consider is that the taste is rather bland because of this. But hey it's not all about the taste. Besides it doesnt taste bad, it just isn't as strong taste like most whey proteins.

There's nothing wrong with the design of this product but I have real trouble with the fructose in it. It is an unnecessary addition; it's already sweetened with Stevia as others have mentioned. While the Fructose in it may not be more than the average fruit (I don't know the g total) it's still a bad choice for persons with intolerance or dislike of refined sugars. That to me was the point of the product, have Stevia for a sweetener and avoid refined sugar. Unfortunately this is not one of the products amazon lists ingredients in and that can cause confusion as it did for me. I am really disappointed that Now foods choose to go the "designer Whey" route with this one and add fructose just to make it more palatable. In general I find the ingredients in Whey protein powders to be deplorable, by defeating the purpose of an excellent source of protein that Whey is. It's nearly impossible to find organic, and all the rest have some sort of tainted ingredient like fructose. Granted we all eat fructose in some amount with fruits and vegetables but that's enough for me personally. Before you use this product daily you should read the Wiki reference to it and understand why your body can't truly process Fructose. I find it particularly disturbing that it's marketed as a sports supplement but any excess of Whey in the body is exacerbated by exercise.
